اِسْتَكْثَرَ - [ك ث ر]. (ف: سدا. لازمتع. م. بحرف). اِسْتَكْثَرْتُ، أَسْتَكْثِرُ، اِسْتَكْثِرْ، مص. اِسْتِكْثارٌ.

1."اِسْتَكْثَرَ عَدَدَ الطُّلابِ": وَجَدَ عَدَدَهُمْ كَثِيرًا.

He found that the number of students was too many.

 

 2."اِسْتَكْثَرَ الطَّعامَ" : وَجَدَهُ كَثيراً.

He found the food excessive.

 

 

 "زَارَ الْمَدِينَةَ لأوَّلِ مَرَّةٍ، فاسْتَكْثَرَ سُكَّانَها وَدُورَها ودَكاكِينَها"

He visited the city for the first time and found the number of inhabitants, shops and houses were many.

 

 3."اِسْتَكْثَرَ مِنْ شُرْبِ العَصيرِ" : أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شُرْبِهِ، رَغِبَ في الزِّيادَةِ.

He wanted more juice to drink.

 

وَلَا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُ (74.6)

Don't do favours for to get more for yourself.
